We Have Used Machines!

When you start out as a beginner looking for a sewing machine, embroidery machine, or quilting machine, but the tricks and features of popular machines and brands seem out of your financial reach, what can you do? Sewing machines are big commitments, but they're very handy to have for the reasons we recently outlined in our blog, "Is Buying a Sewing, Quilting, or Embroidery Machine Worth the Money?" However, Quilt Quarters looks to work with our customers in every way we can. We do this in part by offering used and reconditioned sewing, embroidery, and quilting machines at highly discounted prices for every customer to enjoy!

What is a Used Machine?

Quilt Quarters sells used machines that we get in one of three ways:

  1. A floor model machine that has been retired
  2. A model that was traded in by another customer to put towards a new machine
  3. A model that was sold to Quilt Quarters because of technical difficulties and repaired by our technicians

1. Floor Models

If you've ever been into Quilt Quarter's store in Greenwood, then you'll know that we have a lot of space to showcase floor models of popular brands like Bernina, Brother, and Janome. We like to offer our customers the opportunity to test out different machines before they make their decisions on what to buy, and having a physical example to display the different features that machines can have is a great way for crafters to get an idea of what is possible with a machine! Eventually, floor models are replaced with different and newer models, and since we cannot sell those machines as new, we sell them at a discounted price for your benefit!

2. Trade-In Models

As another way we try to help our customers out and create opportunities for others, we often offer a trade-in credit for machines - almost like a car dealership! Those looking for a new machine at our store can bring in their old machines to be accessed for a credit that goes toward their new purchase. In return, we can then make sure the machine is in good working order and offer it at a high discount to someone else! That takes the stress of selling off of the original owner and gives someone else the chance to keep loving the sewing, embroidery, or quilting machine.

3. Reconditioned Models

If a customer has an old machine or one that doesn't work, we still take them! Our reconditioned machines are serviced by our top sewing machine techs here at Quilt Quarters, and when we get one back into working order, we give someone the chance to buy name-brands at low prices. This is also a service that vintage sewing and embroidery machine collectors can benefit from!
