If not purchasing kit, you will also need the following:
- 1 ½ yards of accent color for accent pieces, inner border, and binding
- 3/4 yard coordinating fabric for outer border
- Purchase a jelly roll ($40) or make one from your stash. Typically, a jelly roll has 40 strips (2½ inches wide x 45" long).
Before class, Cut:
2 (2 ½ in.) strips of accent color. From strips cut 40 (2 ½ in.) squares or parallelograms.
Once quilt is sewn you will cut the borders.
From the accent color, cut 7 strips (1½ inches) for the inner border.
Also from accent color cut 7 strips (2¼) inches for binding.
For outer border cut 7 strips (2¼ inches).
